ICT in the classroom

I have decided to post this video named “Implementing effective ICT in the classroom” because it explains how ICT can be used effectively in the classroom to make sure that learners get the most out of it.

This video explains briefly that 21^st Century learners are engaged with technology more than never before and it can be used as a creative way of learning. Technology can provide us with different tools that we can use in a classroom, such as blog posts, gaming, short film or podcasts which can engage with the learner. In our era, we also have to take into account that not all learners are going to learn in the same way and teachers as facilitators have to help and support their interests and technology can help them to do so. By giving them different ways and options of presenting what they are going to learn, they will create more enriching classrooms.

A way of supporting digital learning is to explore new methods and the video mentions the use of social media. Incorporating social media in the classroom is a refreshing and engaging tool because it lets students to collaborate with one another, they will be able to discuss their ideas by posting and getting instant feedback and also it will increase communication between parents and teachers. Technology also makes possible that learners can take control of their learning and see their own progress.
